| | Apr 25 | Summer Reading for SHS Attention 8th graders who are attending Solon High School in the fall. Summer required reading books are assigned for all English and AP World History classes. You can pre-order your assigned books online and have the books delivered to you at SMS before the end of the school year. Visit http://www.solonacademicboosters.com for more details. Or check out the summer reading flier distributed in your English class. The last date to order your books is Thursday, May 1st. Students who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program do NOT need to place an online order. Those books will be ordered on your behalf.
| | | Apr 25 | Comet Card Winners Congratulations to this week's Comet Card winners! These students have been recognized for showing passion, perseverance, or character. The winners are Grace Nagano and Taha Ismail. Please come to the Media Center to select your prize!
| | | Apr 25 | SMS baseball The baseball team finished off a great week last night earning their second win of the week. Tuesday, the comets played well defensively making zero errors in the field with great plays from Gabe Maragliano and James Hudson. Michael Keister found some green with multiple hits and executed a squeeze bunt that scored two runners. Eli Whitman also helped lead the charge on offense with 3 hits and 2 RBIs. Yesterday, the team came back from being down 2-6 and finished the game with a walk off win! Great pitching from Jax Sherwin and Aryton Nawrocki kept the comets in the game the whole time. Go comets!
| | | Apr 25 | Middle school Lacrosse Good morning Solon Middle School, yesterday our boys lacrosse team closed out their week of 4 games with another win over Hawken 7 to 2. Here are some highlights from the game:
Hugh Nawn scored 4 goals and had 1 assist.
Rocco Coljohn had 2 goals
Mason Tolle had 1 goal
Bentley Carpenter had 11 saves
Maddox Paul had 3 clear face-off wins and Owen Kormuth had 1 allowing the Solon offense more time of possession.
